Research: Hackers could sneak into Macs undetected

A security researcher has found a flaw that could let hackers sneak into Mac computers and remain undetected.

The researcher says the problem is with Macs purchased one year ago or before. When the Mac goes into sleep mode and then later wakes up, the bug causes the computer’s basic input/output system to be exposed to hackers.

Hacking into that system could let someone tamper with the computer’s code.

Apple has not commented on the flaw.
