Hackers reveal Android malware that is IMPOSSIBLE to remove: Malicious bug can

According to researchers from cybersecurity company Lookout, a new strain of adware is capable of automatically rooting a user’s device, embedding in the system application and becomes almost impossible to uninstall.

These apps still have full functionality, it seems.

A new type of Android malware has been uncovered in more than 20,000 apps – and it’s impossible to remove.The repackaging of the apps appears to be so industrialised and automated as to take in anomalous apps such as the Okta two-factor authentication app – despite the infection making no attempt to access the valuable information which passes through it. The report states ‘At first, we wondered why someone would infect an enterprise two-factor authentication app in order to serve ads, neglecting the opportunity to harvest and exfiltrate user credentials. For the full article click here
