AsianScientist (Jan. 7, 2016) – Professor Hu Chenming of Taiwan’s Academia Sinica has been selected to receive the National Medal of Technology and Innovation, the highest honor for achievement and leadership in advancing science and technology in the US. Hu is one of eight recipients who will receive their medals from President Obama at a White House ceremony early next year. The National Medal of Technology and Innovation was created by statute in 1980. A distinguished independent committee representing the private and public sectors submits recommendations to the US President. The award recognizes those who have made lasting contributions to national competitiveness and quality of life and helped strengthen national technological workforce. For the full article click here
