Social Activist Deray McKesson’s Twitter Account Hacked

Twitter has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons these days. First it was Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg whose Twitter account got hacked, then came word that around 32 million accounts and passwords of the micro-blogging platform had been put up for sale on the dark web by a Russian hacker. And now, it’s American civil rights activist Deray McKesson.

Mr. McKesson is a well-known activist for the Black Lives Matter movement and was a candidate for the Mayor of Baltimore this year. The hackers, upon getting access to his account, used it to post comments endorsing Donald Trump. Once he got his account back, Mr. McKesson made it clear that he does not endorse the candidate and that his account had been hacked; the announcement was made using the same Twitter account. For the full article click here
