Top Story: 1 in 4 consumers have been hacked – Don’t become a statistic

Think you might have been hacked? A recent report revealed just how many people have been impacted by data breaches, and the numbers are pretty upsetting. But that’s not the worst part.

Accenture recently did an online survey of a little over 4,000 bank customers in North America. Around 70 percent were from the U.S. Almost a quarter of everyone surveyed said they have been victims of financial data breaches over the past two years. Still, the most shocking thing to come from the report is that people are still willing to release their information if they believe it will improve services.

They say the opportunity for lower prices, faster service and more relevant advice is worth the risks involved Nearly 63 percent said they would even give their financial institution direct access to personal information. Banks use data from credit cards, mortgages and student loans to match customers with suitable products and services. For the full article click here
