iOS 9.2.1 is much smaller than the iOS 9.2 update that came before it. It doesn’t come with new features but it does come with one important bug fix for enterprise users and security patches that plug up some potential exploits. While the team did not specifically mention it, the advice might also be an indication that a jailbreak for iOS 9.2.1 is soon to arrive, since fans will need to have the same build of the official iOS when converting to its jailbreak version. With the release of iOS 9.2 or iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak early, chances are the company might come up with a solution to patch those with the release of iOS 9.3 next. Meanwhile, jailbreakers are still waiting on an official jailbreak tool release for iOS 9.2 and iOS 9.2.1 from Pangu or TaiG. Nevertheless, the video shows the hacker running Cydia on iOS 9.2, along with using Mobile Terminal and WinterBoard. According to him, iOS 9.2.1 contains many security fixes and they prevent execution of malicious code on an iPhone or iPad, but some would start making speculations regarding a possible upcoming iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak. In fact, the report is only a technical write up and the hacker explains what improvements have been made to the iOS 9.2.1 and what the vulnerabilities of its predecessor were. The hacker does not want to release his jailbreak to the public and includes a sarcastic description in his YouTube video that involves North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s quote “which shall be kept private for the Leader’s enjoyment”. Moreover, qwertyoruiop claims it will work on 9.3 beta as well, though he has offered no visual proof to back it up. Rumors began that the TaiG team had a jailbreak for iOS 9.1 and 9.2, and 3K Assisted at posted an announcement which was removed after a short time. For the full article click here
