Bung says BNBBC hackers targeting M’sia, not Najib

PETALING JAYA: The hackers of the Barisan Nasional Backbenchers Club (BNBBC) were not targeting Prime Minister Najib Razak but the entire nation, said MP for Kinabatangan Bung Moktar Radin, who was saddened by the incident.

Speaking to Malaysiakini, Bung said that despite the hate message they left on the website for Najib, he was convinced there was a “bigger agenda” that they were after and that they only used the PM’s name “to divert attention”.

“After they showed their hatred against BNBBC, they can hate CIMB, Maybank, Finance Ministry. Maybe they are buying time or planning to issue something (against Najib). The people don’t mind as they (hackers) hate Najib.

“No, they are not aiming at the prime minister, it is Malaysia they are targeting.”

Bung also said it was possible the hackers were working with foreign elements to paralyse the nation’s economy and added, “I have my team studying this.

“I am saddened by this, but we can blame no one. If you are weak, surely others will exploit you.”

Two days ago, Malay Mail Online reported that a group, calling themselves BlackCyberRoot Team had hacked into the website of the BNBBC and left a nasty message in Bahasa Malaysia.

“We are BlackCyberRoot Team. We are from Malaysia. We hate Najib. We want change.”

The hackers also wrote: “Owned by M4XS4L1M1 and BlackCyberRoot Team.”
