SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WRSP) — Illinois election officials say hackers attacked the state’s voter registration system.
The cyber attack happened on July 13th, and it was shut off as a precaution.
Election officials say the hackers found a weakness in one small data field in the system.
The state election officials are now analyzing tracks left by the attack, but isn’t ready to say what information may have been accessed. For the full article click here
